| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath and short-cropped hair characteristic of Flavian portraiture. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ Τ ΟΥΕΣΠΑΣΙΑΝΟΣ, identifying the emperor in the Greek transliteration of his imperial titulature. The portrait is boldly struck with strong relief typical of Cypriot provincial coinage of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Architectural depiction of the celebrated sanctuary of Aphrodite at Paphos, rendered in a schematic but iconographically rich manner. At centre, the conical xoanon — the aniconic cult image of Aphrodite — stands within the temple cella, flanked by stars on either side; candelabra are positioned on either side of the temple facade. A semicircular colonnaded courtyard with paved floor extends before the temple, with a garland suspended between two antae. This celebrated reverse type, well established in Cypriot coinage under the Flavians, references the most important religious sanctuary on the island. The legend ΚΟΙΝΟΝ ΚΥΠΡΙΩΝ ΕΤΟΥϹ Η, denoting the Koinon of Cyprus and the regnal year 8 (75-76 AD), appears in the field. |
