| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, portrayed in three-quarter rear view, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and articulated pteryges of the cuirass rendered in detail. The imperial effigy occupies the full field of the flan, with the laureate wreath finely executed around the head. A Greek legend runs along the outer border surrounding the portrait. |

| Reverse description | Helios, the sun god, standing frontally in a quadriga, his figure rendered in dynamic composition atop a chariot drawn by four horses. He raises a flaming torch aloft in his right hand and holds a globe in his lowered left hand, symbolising dominion over earth and sky. A star appears in the left field and a crescent moon in the right field, reinforcing the solar and celestial iconography. The reverse legend is divided across the field and exergue, naming the local magistrate and civic identity of the issuing city. |
