Additional information

Cadi was a small Phrygian city whose civic coinage under Trebonianus Gallus is rare by any measure — his two-year reign following Decius's death at Abrittus produced a narrow window for provincial minting, and many cities in the Sardis conventus simply didn't issue at all during this period. The magistrate name ΧΑΡΙΔΗΜΟΥ identifies the local archon responsible for authorizing this strike, a detail that occasionally allows scholars to sequence issues within a reign when the same name appears across multiple emperors.
