| Obverse description | Laureate bust of the emperor Trajan facing right, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Trajan's mature effigy, with the laurel wreath encircling the head. The Greek imperial legend runs around the bust in the field. The flan is somewhat irregular, as is typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period. |
