Obverse description Bare or laureate bust of Drusus Caesar facing right, depicted in the Julio-Claudian portrait tradition with characteristic features rendered in relief. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΔΡΟΥΣΟΣ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΑΥΓΟΥΣΤΟΥ ΥΙΟΣ, identifying the subject as Drusus Caesar, son of Augustus. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with provincial bronze coinage. The portrait, though worn, retains traces of the drapery at the shoulder and the general stylistic conventions of early imperial provincial die-cutting.
