| Description de l’avers | Laureate bust of Emperor Nero facing right, depicted with characteristic youthful features and draped shoulders. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the head. The encircling legend reads ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΩΝ, identifying the emperor and the issuing Thessalian community. The flan is irregular, typical of hammered provincial bronze coinage of the Julio-Claudian period. |

| Description du revers | Apollo seated left on a low rectangular stool (diphros), his body turned slightly as he plays a cithara held upright before him, his arms raised in the act of plucking the strings. A tripod stands prominently in the left field, a standard cult attribute of Apollo as god of prophecy and music. The scene reflects the Thessalian veneration of Apollo and may also allude to Nero's own celebrated identification with the god. The encircling legend names the local magistrate responsible for the issue. |
