Reverse description The reverse field presents the civic ethnic legend of Cyzicus arranged in multiple lines within a laurel wreath, the branches tied at the base. The wreath is rendered with individual leaves carefully detailed on each side, converging symmetrically. A noteworthy epigraphic feature is the use of a variant zeta (Ζ) formed in the manner of the Japanese katakana character エ, a localised letterform occasionally encountered on Cyzicene civic bronzes of this period. The denomination numeral appears below the main legend field.
