The figure is rendered in the competent but unpretentious style characteristic of Bithynian provincial bronzes of the Antonine period. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΑ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city. The reverse surface is heavily worn and patinated, with the design partially obscured by corrosion. |
