| Obverse description | Cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, bare-headed with characteristic long beard and short curls, facing right and viewed from the rear. The effigy presents the emperor in military attire, rendered in the provincial style typical of Mysian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The Greek legend encircling the bust identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature. |
