| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted with short beard, draped and cuirassed, set within a circular Greek legend. The imperial titulature runs around the periphery of the flan in Greek characters. The portrait reflects the characteristic mature, bearded effigy of Macrinus as established during his brief reign of 217–218 AD. |
