| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in typical provincial style. The effigy displays a short beard consistent with known portraiture of Macrinus. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, reading from upper left around the periphery of the field. The portrait is rendered with moderate relief characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the early third century AD. |
