| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted from the front, with the effigy rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The emperor wears a laurel wreath and military cuirass, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The surrounding Greek legend is disposed in a circular arrangement around the bust, enclosed within a dotted border. The die work reflects the competent but somewhat rustic engraving tradition of the Nicaean mint under the short-lived Severan successor. |
