| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, presented from a rear three-quarter perspective, a characteristic Alexandrian rendering. The imperial effigy displays the emperor's characteristic short beard and laureate wreath. The encircling Greek legend names him as Emperor Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus, disposed in two registers around the bust.
