Reverse description Frontal cult idol or archaic bearded deity rendered in a highly stylized, hieratic manner, shown face-on with a broad, flat head surmounted by a turreted or mural crown adorned with rows of pellets. The beard is rendered as multiple long, parallel striated locks descending from the chin, and the figure appears to wear an elaborate headdress with beaded detailing. The colonial era dating legend C I F ANN CLXXXII is distributed around the field, with partial letters visible to the left and right of the central idol, recording year 182 of the Julian colony of Felix (Sinope).
