Reverse description Dionysus, the patron deity of Magnesia ad Maeandrum, depicted standing to the left in a relaxed contrapposto stance, flanked on either side by a grapevine. The god holds a bunch of grapes in his right hand and a long thyrsus in his left. The composition reflects the city's strong Dionysiac religious identity, well attested in its civic coinage and local cult traditions. The magistrate's legend and civic ethnic are distributed around the field, naming the grammateus Pammenes as the presiding official.
