Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from the rear in the so-called 'heroic' three-quarter perspective. The effigy displays a laurel wreath atop curled hair, with paludamentum and scale armour visible at the shoulder. The surrounding Latin legend is disposed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait is rendered in the robust provincial style characteristic of the Mysian mint at Parium during the sole reign.
