Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Crispina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Aeolian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The portrait displays finely detailed drapery over the shoulders and chest. The surrounding Greek legend is disposed around the bust within the field, with alpha characters featuring a distinctive curved crossbar; the nu may appear in a mirrored form (И). The flan is irregular with slight edge cuts typical of hammered provincial bronze issues.
