Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted with characteristic youthful features. The obverse legend in Greek characters is disposed around the bust in the field. The coin bears a beaded border visible along the upper rim. The engraving reflects the provincial die-cutting style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the Antonine period.

Reverse description Nude, bearded Heracles standing to the right, his right hand resting on his hip in a relaxed contrapposto pose. His left arm is draped with the Nemean lion skin, and he leans upon his club, which rests upright on a rocky ground base. The composition emphasises the hero's musculature and divine strength, a motif well suited to the imperial propaganda of Commodus, who identified himself with Heracles. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ appears in the field.
