| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, with curled hair and short beard rendered in the provincial style. The imperial effigy is depicted with characteristic late Antonine portraiture, the laurel wreath clearly visible atop the head. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, reading from lower left to right. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of provincial bronze coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | Athena standing left, clad in chiton and aegis, holding a patera in her extended right hand and an upright spear in her left hand. A large round shield rests against her left side. The goddess is rendered in a classical stance typical of civic bronze coinage from Bithynia, with the reverse legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ inscribed around the field identifying the issuing city of Nicaea. |
