| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean colonial coinage. The portrait presents the emperor in a slightly idealised manner with the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the head. The circumferential Latin legend frames the imperial effigy, running along the outer edge of the flan. |
