Obverse description Draped and cuirassed laureate bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted from behind with the paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The obverse legend in Greek characters encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The rendering is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan-Antonine period, with bold, slightly stylized portraiture typical of Carian civic mints.
