Reverse description Draped and turreted bust of the Nymph Nicaea, eponymous deity of the city, facing right, wearing an ivy wreath and a mural crown (turreted crown) atop her flowing hair, which falls in long strands over her shoulder. The bust is rendered in a provincial Hellenistic style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The ethnic legend of the Nicaeans is distributed in the field around the bust, within a dotted border.
