Reverse description Draped bust of Sarapis facing right, the god identifiable by his characteristic modius headdress and flowing beard rendered in the Hellenistic tradition. A sceptre appears to the right of the bust in the field. The date formula in the left field, rendered as 'L Α', denotes regnal year 1 of Claudius II's reign in Alexandria. The composition follows the standard typology of Sarapian imagery on Alexandrian tetradrachms and bronze issues of the Imperial period.
