| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted with characteristic youthful but stern features. The imperial effigy is rendered in the bold, high-relief style typical of Thracian provincial bronzes. The circular legend surrounds the portrait within the field, reading in Greek characters. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-struck provincial coinage of the Severan period. |
