Reverse description Hermes depicted standing in three-quarter view, head turned to the left, nude or semi-draped in the Hellenistic tradition. The god holds a purse in his extended right hand and a caduceus in his left, his attributes as patron of commerce and travel. The civic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is distributed around the field, characteristic of Bithynian provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period.
