Harpasa was a minor Carian city whose civic coinage output was modest even by the standards of small provincial centers. Issues under Caracalla represent some of the city's more active minting years — likely tied to the administrative reorganization of the Alabanda conventus during the Severan period, when several small Carian communities appear to have seized on imperial accession and co-regency announcements as pretexts to strike civic bronze.
