| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius, wearing aegis on the left shoulder, facing left, seen from the front. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Lydian civic coinage of the mid-second century AD. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust in the field, reading partially ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, with the portrait centrally placed and exhibiting moderate relief. |
