| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is executed in typical provincial style, with the laureate wreath clearly distinguishable despite surface wear. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, reading from upper left. The portrait conveys the conventional military iconography adopted for joint-reign provincial issues of the mid-third century AD. |
