The deity is rendered in a classical Hellenistic manner befitting the sacred sanctuary of Claros near Colophon, of which Apollo was the chief oracular divinity. The reverse legend, distributed around the field in two lines or peripherally, records the name and title of the local magistrate responsible for the issue. |
