| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of the beardless Demos of Cotiaeum facing right, the diadem ties visible above the neck, with drapery falling over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of Phrygia under the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus. The circular legend surrounds the bust in the field. The coin shows characteristic irregular flan edges and uneven strike typical of Phrygian civic bronze coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | Helios depicted standing facing, positioned frontally within a quadriga, holding a flaming torch aloft in his raised right hand and a globe in his lowered left hand, symbolising solar dominion over heaven and earth. The four horses of the quadriga are shown straining forward in dynamic composition. A star appears in the left field and a crescent in the right field, reinforcing the celestial iconography. The multi-line magistrate legend is distributed across the field in three registers, naming the local archon responsible for the issue. |
