| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation typical of provincial coinage of the period. The emperor's laureate wreath, paludamentum, and segmented cuirass are rendered in moderate relief consistent with the provincial die-cutting style of Ephesus. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ ΠΟ ΛΙΚΙΝ ΓΑΛΛΙΗΝΟϹ, distributed around the bust in the field. |
