Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in confident provincial style with naturalistic portraiture typical of the Trajanic period. The laurel wreath is clearly delineated around the head, with ribbon ties visible at the nape. The Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the portrait, running clockwise along the coin's border. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of Conventus of Alabanda provincial bronze coinage.
