Obverse description Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing right, rendered in profile with characteristic radiating crown denoting divine status. The portrait is set within a circular Latin legend running along the entire periphery of the flan. The die work reflects the provincial colonial style of the Achaean mint at Patras, with relatively high relief for the head against a flat field. Heavy wear and green patination are visible, consistent with extended circulation.
