Reverse description Standing female deity facing left, identified as Tyche or Nemesis, rendered in the round in provincial style. The figure holds a set of scales or bridle in her extended left hand and a cornucopia or sceptre in her right, with drapery falling in stylised folds to her feet. A wheel or globe may be present at her side, attributes consistent with the iconography of Nemesis as venerated at Marcianopolis. The encircling Greek legend names the consular legate Tiberius Julius Festus and the civic authority of Marcianopolis.
