Reverse description Heracles stands facing with head turned to the left, his weight resting upon his club set on the ground beside him; he holds the Nemean lion skin in one hand and cradles the infant Telephus in the crook of his arm. Before him, a stag stands to the right, its head turned back in a glancing pose. The mythological scene reflects local Phrygian cult traditions, with the ethnic legend ΜΙΔΑΕΩΝ inscribed in the field identifying the issuing city of Midaeum.
