| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, the emperor's youthful effigy rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated, with drapery visible at the truncation of the neck. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible despite the coin's worn surfaces. The portrait exhibits the broad facial features typical of Severan-era provincial die-cutting. |
