Reverse description Zeus enthroned to the left, depicted in the classical Pheidian tradition, his draped figure seated on a high-backed throne. In his extended right hand he holds a patera, symbol of divine offering, while his left hand rests upon a long upright sceptre. A small figure of Nike or an eagle may be discerned at his feet on the left. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is distributed in the field to the right of the enthroned deity, all within a beaded border.
