Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum over the left shoulder. The portrait displays youthful features characteristic of Caracalla's early coinage under Septimius Severus. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular, typical of provincial bronze coinage from Bithynia.

The composition is symmetrical and formally rendered, reflecting the military symbolism common to Bithynian provincial coinage of the Severan period.
