| Beschrijving keerzijde | Tyche, the personification of the city's fortune, stands facing left in full figure, draped in a long chiton and himation. In her extended right hand she holds a ship's rudder, symbolising guidance and destiny, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and grain, emblematic of abundance. The figure is rendered in the conventional provincial Greek style typical of Mysian civic coinage under the Severan dynasty. The Greek legend naming the strategos Diphilos and the city of Miletopolis is disposed around the beaded border. |
