| 表面の説明 | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II (Caesar) facing right, portrayed with youthful features. The effigy is rendered in a frontal three-quarter perspective typical of Bithynian provincial coinage of the mid-third century. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The engraving displays the provincial die-cutting style characteristic of the Nicomedia mint under the Philippi. |

| 裏面の説明 | Sarapis enthroned to the left, his right arm extended downward toward Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the underworld, held on a leash at his feet, while his left hand firmly grasps a tall sceptre. The god is depicted wearing his characteristic modius (kalathos) headdress, consistent with his Hellenistic iconographic tradition. The composition reflects the prominent cult of Sarapis at Nicomedia during the Imperial period. The Greek civic legend of the twice-neocorate status of Nicomedia frames the design in the surrounding field. |
