Obverse description	Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II as Caesar facing right, portrayed in three-quarter frontal perspective with short-cropped hair rendered in fine relief. The effigy displays characteristic provincial portraiture of the mid-third century, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend runs clockwise around the periphery within a dotted border.

Reverse description	Athena, helmeted and draped, seated to left upon a large round shield, extending her right hand to hold a small figure of Nike and grasping a long sceptre in her left hand. The goddess is rendered in the classical tradition typical of Bithynian civic coinage, with flowing drapery over the lower body. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing city of Nicaea.
