Obverse description Bare-headed youthful bust of Commodus as Caesar, draped with paludamentum, facing right and viewed from behind. The portrait reflects the early dynastic imagery of the young prince, rendered in provincial die-cutting style typical of Mysian civic coinage. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field.

Reverse description Zeus standing left, his weight shifted onto one leg in a classical contrapposto pose, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition characteristic of Mysian provincial coinage. The Greek civic legend, naming the magistrate Claudianus and abbreviating the names of the participating cities Ascleia, Pausae, and Poemanenum, runs around the field, with partial legend visible below the figure.
