Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Crispina facing right, wearing a stephane (diadem crown) and elaborately braided hair arranged in multiple tresses falling to the neck. The effigy is rendered in the standard provincial style of the Antonine period, with fine drapery visible at the truncation. Reverse description The cult statue of Athena Ilias, the celebrated Palladium of Ilium, shown standing in hieratic frontal pose atop a short decorated column, her head turned right, wearing a kalathos (cylindrical crown), holding a transverse spear and the Palladium in her extended hand. To the right, a sacrificial scene is depicted: a cow hangs suspended from a tree, while a male figure grasps her horn and slaughters her with a knife, referencing the sacred rites performed at the sanctuary of Athena at Ilium. The ethnic legend ΙΛΙΕΩΝ appears in the field.
