| Description de l’avers | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view as seen from the rear, a distinctive Alexandrian portrait convention. The emperor's muscular cuirass and paludamentum (military cloak) are visible at the truncation. The surrounding Greek legend, divided on either side of the bust, identifies the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The flan shows characteristic irregular edges typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period. |

| Description du revers | Tyche, the personification of Fortune and patron goddess of Alexandria, stands facing with head turned to the left. She holds a long rudder in her right hand, symbolising the guidance of fate, and a cornucopia (horn of plenty) in her left arm, emblematic of abundance. The figure is draped in a long chiton and rendered in a classical Hellenistic style characteristic of Alexandrian civic coinage. The regnal date legend appears in the field, dating the issue to the 19th year of Hadrian's reign. The coin exhibits extensive green patination with areas of earthen encrustation consistent with extended burial. |
