| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III facing right, portrayed as a youthful emperor with short hair surmounted by a radiate crown. The bust is rendered in the provincial style typical of Thracian mints, with visible paludamentum folds across the shoulder and chest. The Greek imperial titulature encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan, reading from upper left around to lower right. |
