Obverse description Veiled and draped bust of Boule personified, facing right, with a veil falling in folds over the shoulders and drapery visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Sardis conventus, with the veil signifying the sacred or official nature of the personification. A dotted border frames the design. The Greek legend ΙΕΡΑ ΒΟΥΛΗ (Sacred Council) appears in the field around the bust.
