| Reverse description | Homonoia, personification of concord and harmony, stands facing left in full figure, clad in a long chiton and himation. In her extended right hand she holds a patera for libation, while her left hand presents a miniature galley complete with oarsmen, an attribute alluding to Nicomedia's naval and commercial prominence. The encircling Greek legend occupies the full periphery of the field, referencing the city's twice-awarded neocorate honour. |
