She holds a rod or sceptre in her raised right hand and a cubit rule (ell) in her left; at her feet to the left lies a wheel, her characteristic attribute symbolising the turning of fate. The figure is rendered in a stocky provincial style with clearly articulated drapery folds. The ethnic legend of Odessus is inscribed around the periphery, with the denomination mark Ε in the right field. |
