| Beschrijving keerzijde | A helmeted figure, identified as Cybele or a local city goddess, shown riding a lion to the right, brandishing a spear or sceptre in her raised right hand. The lion strides powerfully across a ground line beneath which a kantharos (cup) flanked by floral or vine ornaments is depicted in the exergue. The composition is framed by a beaded border, with the civic ethnic legend AMACTPIANΩN distributed around the field. The reverse type reflects the strong association of Amastris with Cybele and local civic pride, a common iconographic choice for Pontic and Paphlagonion provincial bronzes of the Severan period. |
