| Obverse description | Radiate, helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left, seen from the rear in a three-quarter perspective, with the figure holding a spear and shield. The bust is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Carian civic coinage of the mid-third century. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters, identifying the emperor with his full imperial titulature. |
